Flyshooter? Fly-shoot fishing is a form of coastal fishing, a modern variant on the Danish snurrvod. This method of fishing was mainly applied by Icelandic, Danish and Scottish fishermen. For the past few years several Dutch and French fishermen have been using this technique as well.

Benefits of the fly-shoot method:

  • Low fuel consumption
  • No disruption of the flora and fauna at seabed
  • Virtually no undersized fish (discards) and other unwanted by-catch.

The last few years Padmos has converted the SL-9 and SL-27, Z-99, Larche, Tourmalet, Galibier and the SCH-65, among others, for this fishing method.
